Bostic Family : Waiting on Malcom

I graduated from high school with Derek and Jessie ... and yes they were together even back then.  Jessie and I were managers for the wrestling team together, as well as Advanced Placement Calculus partners.  Aside from this we both married our high school sweet heart, worked in the school system and are now in the photography business.  When Jessie got in touch with me about possibly doing some maternity pictures, I was thrilled that we were able to work it out with our schedule for going into North Carolina.  The weekend of September 30th we met up at a local park and were able to get some shots at a beautiful lake location that I didn't even know existed!

They are expecting their third child in a little over 2 weeks.  Malcom will be the little brother to big sister Laraya and big brother Cassius!  Laraya and Cassius are 21 months apart, and so incredibly sweet with one another.  It was obvious that they are used to their mommy taking pictures, because they did a fantastic job ... complete naturals in front of the camera!

Jessie battled "morning sickness" (but more like all day sickness) for the first 28 weeks of this pregnancy, and is now dealing with blood glucose issues that force her to give herself two shots a day.  Aside from this she was so positive and looks beautiful.  She didn't hesitate however to let me know that she was more than ready for little Malcom to arrive, and that if he decided to come early she wouldn't complain :)

Best of luck you guys!  Having 3 kids is great :)

Stuart Stewart: 1 year old

This little guy has been on my blog a few times now.  I took maternity pictures for his mom and dad at the end of last summer, and then took some family pictures of him with his cousins for Christmas last year (he was just 12 weeks old).  September 13th I had the pleasure of celebrating his first birthday with his family!  Sunnie (Stuart's mom) did a fantastic job on his party.  The theme was Mickey Mouse (he has been mesmerized by the show since he was about 3 months old) and she went all out.  I absolutely LOVED all of the decorations, and the food was fabulous ... from "Donald & Daisy's Delicious Desserts" to "Hot-Diggity Bar-B Dogs" & "Pluto's Pizza"... and the best potato salad I have ever had ... hands down!

Stuart had VERY few sweets prior to his birthday, and Sunnie wanted his first cake to be extra special!  She had her mom make the cake that she has made for Sunnie every birthday that she can remember.  Chocolate cake on the bottom, vanilla cake on top, with a layer of banana pudding between ... all covered with Cool Whip!  Sounds kinda crazy, but it was delicious ... and I am pretty sure Stuart agrees. :)

LOTS of family showed up for the big day, and everyone had a wonderful time!

Light Family : Beach

There is not enough time for me to tell you how much I adore this family.  We met Adam and Tiffany through church almost 3 years ago.  Over time we have grown closer and closer, and now if I go 2 days without talking to Tiffany I feel like my whole world is out of balance.  She is truly the type of friend that I can call if I need anything ... and have on several occasions, including the birth of our 3rd child!  With all of our family living 3-4 hours away, I will forever be indebted to her and Adam for coming to spend the night at our house with Shepherd and Josephine the night that I went into labor with Sullivan.  Keep in mind that she was 8 1/2 months pregnant herself at the time!  She had Weston 12 days later :)

Addison is 4 and is Shepherd's BEST friend.  They are seriously like a little old married couple the way they act towards one another, but are inseparable.  They are in the same pre-school class this year, and played on the same Tball team over the summer.  It was at one of the Tball games when we were discussing being on vacation right before school started that we realized we were going to be at Myrtle Beach the exact same week.  Tiffany was so sweet, and hesitated asking me to do pictures for them since I was going to be on vacation, but eventually told me that she had ALWAYS wanted family pictures on the beach.  Lucky for her, I had been wanting to do a beach session ;).  I was thrilled that it worked out for me to do these, and adore the shots I got of Addison and Weston together.

Tiffany's cousin Courtney came on vacation with them to help out with the kids and ended up being a life saver during the photo session.  You will see her in a couple of pictures as well. :)

Aubrie Lynn : 6 weeks

Every year we go on vacation to White Lake, North Carolina with my parents and extended family on my mom's side.  This year was even more special, because we added 3 new babies since last year.  My niece Jonah is the oldest addition, followed closely by my son Sullivan.  The youngest, Aubrie is my 2nd cousin Ronnie and his wife Traci's daughter.  She was just 6 weeks old when we were at the lake back in August. (Yes, I am way behind :/) ... Vacation was my first time seeing her in person, and she is ADORABLE!!  I just HAD to take some pictures :).
Ronnie is just a little older than me, and was by far my closest cousin growing up.  I know that he has been ready for kids for quite some time, and it is awesome to see him with his own daughter.  Traci, who teaches kindergarten is no stranger to kids.  She is quiet, but so sweet and seems to have embraced motherhood.  One of my favorite pictures from the day is one that was taken when we were actually "finished".  Traci had just changed Aubrie's diaper and was snuggling her in the main room of the cabin.  Even with the busy kitchen background, that special bond between mother and child is so apparent.

I can't wait to see all three of them again in a few weeks for Thanksgiving.  Having a 7 month old myself, I know how quickly they change and expect that Aubrie will be like a completely different child than from when these were taken!
