Johnson Sisters : 12.23.12

I have mentioned before that my husband and I are originally from North Carolina.  We go home every year for Christmas, and always try to stay a few extra days.  This worked out well this most recent Christmas, as it allowed me to meet up with an old high school friend and her two sisters.  Emily is the middle daughter and we graduated together back in 2001.  It seems like yesterday the two of us were planning our 10 year reunion, and now it is almost 2 years later.  Sarah is the oldest of the three and closer in age to Emily.  I had to laugh hearing the two of them talk about when they found out their mom was pregnant for a 3rd time.  When told about a "surprise" and given a clue of "something you have always wanted" they both said they hoped Rosemary was a puppy.  Rosemary was actually a student at the high school I taught at right before we moved to Tennessee, but unfortunately I never had the pleasure of having her in class.

They wanted to surprise their parents and grandparents with updated pictures for Christmas, and chose the church they grew up in as the setting for our session.

Stewart Family : 12.9.12

On Sunday December 9th I met up with Sunnie and Stuart for a quick mini-session.  Little Stuart absolutely LOVED the airplane we used for his pictures and looked completely precious.  They are such a fun little family!  Sunnie said she wanted to go for a "tacky Christmas" feel for their cards, but it doesn't matter what they wear, they can't help but look adorable together.

Whisnant Family : 12.8.12

Matt and Amy have been married for 15 years and have moved 13 times between 3 different states!  They most recently moved from California so that Matt could become the Student Minister at our church.  He is doing a wonderful job and our middle and high schoolers love him.  Amy works with Music Friends ministry that my oldest son and daughter attend every Wednesday evening.  They sing the songs ALL the time!
Matt and Amy have two super loving, energetic boys, Carson and Camden.  Their boys are just a little older than my two boys and love to play together at church.
While there were several positioned shots, I love the candidness of their family session.  They clearly all adore each other and you can't help but feel the love between them.

Weston Family : 12.8.12

As I was wrapping up the session with Adam, Tiffany, Addison and Weston some of Tiffany's extended family arrived.  She and her cousin Kelli wanted to give their grandmother updated pictures of the kids for Christmas, especially since Weston wasn't born when the last set was taken.  Even though they were a Christmas gift, they didn't want to go with a traditional Christmas feel.  I love the matching blue sparkly shirts they found for Kyla and Addison to wear!

Taking the group pictures was a hoot!  Weston was infatuated with Cody and wouldn't leave him alone.  The looks Cody kept giving him were hilarious, and he eventually asked to move.

We ended with a few shots of Kyla and Eli together that Kelli could use for a Christmas card.
